Swedish massage combines various hands-on techniques from top to toe including gliding, kneading, and cross-fibre friction to break up muscle knots. It helps increase the blood circulation and blood flow to the area which relieves tension in your muscles allowing them to relax.

Swedish massage is based on the Western concepts of anatomy and physiology as opposed to energy work. It can be slow and gentle, or vigorous and bracing, depending on what you require.

Pressure strokes and circular movements are used to help you unwind and relax. This can also help you boost your immune system by increasing blood flow throughout the body. Massage oils or creams are used to soften your muscles through long, slow strokes and a gentle pulling and pressing technique. Studies show that Swedish massage can help with reducing stress as it lowers the cortisol levels within the body.



We would advise having a hot shower or bath before your massage. This can help you to relax your muscles before the treatment begins and may also help improve muscle recovery after the massage.

We want your experience to be a relaxing one, therefore we would recommend that your chosen room that is private and warm. Please ensure that you have space for the massage bed, which is 6ft long and 2ft wide.
